What is Studio53?
Studio53 is a collaborative creative space and teaching studio, where professional development and post-graduate students can expand their creative fashion and textile skills. The studio is equipped with industrial sewing machines for many cut and make projects, with new machines and equipment on the horizon! Various size dress forms are available to drape and create with. Paper, muslin, and other trims are available upon request.
Courses / Classes
Various courses and classes will be available to encourage a better understanding of patternmaking and construction, as well as current sustainable practices.
All classes are taught with the idea of making and better construction practices. Alternative methods will always be discussed and shared.
**Please note: Classes are geared toward the burgeoning student, post graduate, and current professional. Use of industrial machines is a prerequisite, as well as some knowledge of pattern drafting and the tools used.
